Getting Started with Billionaire

Overview

Billionaire consists of up to 15 questions making it ideal for shorter learning sessions. Work your way up the ladder by supplying the correct answers and watch as your riches grow until you reach the final question! Play in teams, for a fun and fast competition, or play in self-paced mode, to assess knowledge. This game works great for both classroom-led sessions as well as Self-Paced mode.

Self-Paced or Instructor-Led

Give your game a name and then choose whether your session will be Instructor-led or Self-Paced. You can also duplicate your session, change the game mode, and use your session in a different mode.

Adding Questions

In the Billionaire game, you can have up to 15 questions, and the questions will appear in a sequential order. Each point value is pre-determined and will build when you progress through a session. The question editor works identically in Billionaire as in any of the game templates in the BravoZone. You can add Preview and Summary slides to add additional teaching points to your session. You can also drag questions from your library as well. If you choose this option, it will only be available in Instructor-Led mode and available for each participant to use once in a session. It requires at least three answers to a question. This feature in gameplay will only be visible if you enable the “Ask the Expert” helpline and add a hint.

Session Options

Like any of the game templates in the BravoZone, you have a variety of options you can use or choose to turn off.

Available Helplines

By default two helplines are available. The Ask an Expert is only available in an Instructor-led session. By default, these two options are enabled; however, you can choose to turn them off. As mentioned earlier you the Ask an Expert is only available if you have added a Hint to a question. 50/50 will randomly choose two answers for the student to use, one of which will be correct. This feature will only be available if you have three or more answers to your questions.

General

You can select % Required to Pass and choose to randomize your questions. This is only available in Self-Paced mode. When randomizing your questions in Self-paced mode, each time the session is launched, the question order will be randomized.

Options for Self-Paced Mode & Instructor-Led

Choose Response Mode

Device Mode

When playing in Instructor-led mode, you can have your attendees use their Smart devices or any web browser to interact directly with your session by having them go to www.BravoZone.us or use the QR code when a session is launched.

Voice Mode

You can choose to use voice mode, which allows teams or players to answer by voice. The game will choose a team in a Round Robin Mode when playing in Voice mode. The more teams you have the more turns that have to be taken. You should keep your teams to a minimum in Voice Mode. If a team gets the answer wrong the next team in line will get a chance to answer. Assuming you have 4 answers there will be up to 3 attempts to answer.

Customize Teams

It is available in Instructor-led mode. You can have up to 10 teams in Billionaire. You can customize team icons and colors or use your own icons to represent a team.

LMS/SCORM

When the game is set to Self-paced mode, you have the option to create a SCORM package to use in any Learning Management System (LMS).

Question Timer

Billionaire, by default, has a 2-minute timer set for each question, and the points available to the attendees will decrease as time progresses. The rationale is to help prevent ties in Instructor-led sessions is help prevent ties. You can choose to disable these features if you choose.

Game Text

You can customize any Game Text that appears when the game is in play.
